Responsible gambling
Nobody under 18 may hold an account with the operators we rank, and every one of them asks for identity documents that prove it. Beyond that legal line, the only protection that works is arithmetic: name the sum you can lose this month without changing anything else in your life, and treat that figure as the whole budget. Ranking position, bonus size and published RTP change none of it.
Three signals matter more than the rest. Stakes that climb after a bad run. Sessions that outlast whatever you told yourself before logging in. Deposits funded by a credit card, an overdraft or a loan. Any one of them is reason enough to close the tab and use the tools already sitting in the cashier: daily and weekly deposit caps, reality-check reminders, a cooling-off pause of one to thirty days, and permanent self-exclusion. Reductions bite immediately at every brand on this page. Increases wait, deliberately.
Support in New Zealand is free, confidential and available around the clock. Gambling Helpline NZ takes calls and texts on 0800 654 655. The Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand runs counselling in person and online, and it works with partners, parents and whānau who are carrying the consequences rather than placing the bets.
Self-exclude first if a limit stops holding. The conversation can happen afterwards; the account cannot wait.
